Labour Productivity in a Central and Eastern European Secondary City – Evidence from Regional and Firm-Level Data

چکیده
Abstract Our article examines the changes in economic position of a Hungarian secondary city, Pécs, and its region post-crisis period from labour productivity perspective. aim is to contrast results based on data city’s largest local firms Orbis Europe enterprise database with EuroStat regional database. We assess trends sectoral disaggregation focus between two crises. suggest that Pécs face persistent difficulty attracting external resources retaining generating endogenous resources.
